Necklaces

I love finding unique vintage necklaces. They can really pull an outfit together, and they're usually much sturdier/better quality than modern ones. Here are some mine!

I use the same chain for the orange one as do for the one on the left - that's why that one's all alone. I always seem to have more charms than chains.

This owl comes from the Hometown Flea Market in PA. I actually wore it so much that it broke, and I'm attempting different ways to fix it. (Anybody have tips? The very bottom/tail broke off. I tried superglue but it fell apart again.)

I got this jumping deer at a community church yard sale. It's one of my favorites because of how detailed it is - plus I grew up in the woods.

I found this one at the Attic in Bethlehem, PA. It has a crack in the stone, but so far it hasn't actually fallen apart (knock on wood!).

This one also comes from the Attic. I definitely recommend that place for unique jewelry. They have more than just jewelry, but that's usually my main reason for going in.

I got this one a long time ago at a yard sale. I haven't actually worn it yet because I've been meaning to get a thinner chain for it (this one is too thick/awkward for me).

I know I have more, but I've grown out of them/they are back at my parents' house in my childhood bedroom.

Denio's Flea Market

Since moving out to California, we hadn't been to any flea markets, so we decided to do some research. After scoping out some websites, we planned on going to Denio's in Roseville today.

This was the most overwhelmed I've ever felt at a place like this. It was enormous! We didn't even know where to start/what path to take. So we jumped right in, and ended up spending quite a bit of time there. Here are the things I picked up:

These two I found almost immediately. I have a brass animal collection, and though all the animals I already have are small, I needed to have these. I was so excited they were cheap. (Let's face it, I wouldn't have bought them otherwise.)

I always have to stop myself from buying more mugs... but it has been a while since I've gotten any new (old) ones. I love the design of this one. Plus the double-finger handle - how cute!

Rings are my thing at the moment. I go through jewelry phases, and I've been all over large rings lately (and by lately I mean for the past year). I didn't have any green ones, so this one hit the spot.

What a day! So sunny and hot and full of good finds. Hope you're all having a good Memorial Day weekend!

Cameos

I've been a fan of cameos since I got a backpack with one on it in first grade. I don't know why, but I was drawn to it. Of course I no longer have that backpack, but I kept my fascination for cameos. I suppose this post is only half cameos, but I thought these silhouettes fit in perfectly with them.

This locket comes from the Hometown Flea Market in PA.

This pin comes from a church community yard sale.

This wall decoration comes from (if I recall correctly) Salvation Army in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

I picked this one up at Antique Trove in Roseville, CA. It's called "The Rendezvous".

It's a small, but growing collection (cameos usually aren't cheap). I also have a skull cameo necklace, but it was a gift from a friend, not a thrift.
